About Me
Hi, I’m Julia! 👋🏾 I’m a product designer who enjoys making complex systems easier to understand and use.
Over the past few years, I’ve designed digital experiences for the NFL and the U.S. Department of State, working across research, information architecture, accessibility, and end-to-end product design. Much of my work has involved taking dense information and complicated workflows and turning them into experiences that feel clearer and more intuitive.
Before design, I studied psychology, which sparked my interest in how people think, make decisions, and navigate unfamiliar experiences. That curiosity still shapes the way I approach design today.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find me traveling, making YouTube videos, or finding a new café to work from. ☕️
Outside of product design.. 🎥
I started my YouTube channel because I loved editing videos and had way too many thoughts about pop culture. Somehow, that turned into a community of 115,000+ subscribers and videos watched by millions of people.
One of my favorite projects has been my Stage Parents series, where I dig into the complicated stories behind child stars and the adults around them. My work has been referenced across the internet—and in one particularly surreal moment, Britney Spears herself gave me a shoutout.
At the heart of my work is a curiosity about people. I love exploring the nuance behind why we behave the way we do and telling stories with compassion and empathy, especially when the easy answer doesn't tell the whole story. Turns out, I also really enjoy taking something messy and complicated and making it easier to understand—which probably explains a lot about why I became a product designer.
